Title: Set of Antique BookendsDescription:Presented for your consideration is this pair of interesting Art Deco bookends. The bookends are crafted of spelter and shows a dancing nude lady. The lady is posed elegantly with one leg bent inward, her back arched and her arms falling backward behind her. Her head is resting on one shoulder as she looks down at a small frog sitting in the corner of the base. The frog and woman appear to be standing on a rock formation. Nice, intricate d...etailing is present throughout. The backside of each is flat to properly hold books and the bottoms are lined with felt to prevent slippage. The ends are finished with a bronze colored painted finish with a redish-purple coloring in areas. There are no markings to indicate a manufacturer. Guaranteed to be old. These unusual bookends would make a great addition to any Art Deco or bookend collection! A beautiful set to use!
One end has a crack around the ankle of the woman, this appears to be the only damage on either end. Light age and use wear. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Each end measures 5 1/2" deep, 4 1/4" wide and 10" tall.
