Chief Hollow Horn Bear was a key advocate of and negotiator for the Brule Lakota people. He fought in many battles, including the Battle of Little Big Horn.

Rinehart was commissioned to photograph the Native American leaders and delegates at the Indian congress, which was held in conjunction with the Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition in Omaha, Nebraska in 1898. This striking original of Chief Hollow Horn bear was hand tinted in colours.
Some powdery foxing - it may brush off, I haven't inspected outside of the frame. Please see images for condition.
