Intriguing bat with original "Scoring" on the gripping and hitting surfaces. Many sellers try to pass off old odd shaped sticks as bats but usually what they have is an old antique railroad cart moving tool. They are still cool but they are not bats. This is truly and without a doubt a "baseball " bat. The scoring or "scratching on the handle and barrel were done for a reason, to aid in gripping and hitting a baseball. Has a beautiful patina and wonderful eye appeal. Most likely turn o...f the century when mushroom knobs were in style but could be much older. Typically to be considered "Townball " it can't be over 26 inches and this one is 28 inches so no guarantee that it is 1850s Townball old but still very interesting and rare.*I combine shipping.
