Ansonia Clock Company Model Name " La Nord " It is as shown in the Ansonia Tran Duy Ly Book Circa 1901 Model name is stamped into the back of the china case along with the Royal Bonn Stamp Magnificent Vibrant Deep Vibrant Red Color with a lighter shade of red floral design in the background. Vibrant colors of reds and gold. It is highlighted with gold trim and a rose floral painting on the fronts & sides. This porcelain clock has been taken care of very well over the years there i...s no damage to the case and the clock retains its original color gloss. The porcelain case is in solid condition there are no parts or damage to this cabinet at all. The case is in exceptional condition the gold highlights are strong across the front and sides. The clock is 110 years old and some wear is to be expected. I cannot find any chips cracks or repairs in this great looking The clock has its hand painted floral design that is in untouched condition as well. It also retains it original brass access door to view the movement and take the pendulum off the clock. The clock also features its original 5 inch Ansonia open escapement stamped porcelain Arabic dial. The dial is in good condition. There is a hairline crack in the dial between the numeral 6 and 7. The bezel has a good compression fit and stays shut very well. The clocks beveled glass that protects the dial is old & wavy as well. This Ansonia clock movement is an eight day spring wound time & strike model that announces the half hour and counts the hour on a good sounding cathedral gong. The clock has been running here keeping good time at the house and striking correctly as well. The movement has the Ansonia stamps on the brass frame. It also has its original adjustable brass pendulum and the correct key to wind the clock will also be sent with it as well.
