Antique Early 19thc Mist Type White FeldspathicStoneware Jug- Chetham and Woolley c1810 Whitefeldspathic stoneware jug with chocolate-brown slip and white sprig reliefs andcomplex engine turned base. The jug measures 4.5 inches high (11cms), is 5.5inches across from spout tip to handle, and 2.75 inches across the base. The jug is not marked but almost certainlyChetham and Woolley. Similar vases and jugs can be seen in“Stoneware...” 1774-1830 by Diana Edwards and Rodney Hampson. Similarjugs can also be seen in Chetham & Woolley Stonewares 1793-1821 by ColinWyman. The condition is very good with just a very finetight hairline approx. 1.25 inches long which runs down from the upper rimA wonderful, small very tactile, Chethamand Woolley jug it displays very well.
