STANLEY QUALITY No. 150 SMALL MITER BOX & DISSTON BACKSAWThis is a high quality small StanleyNo. 150 miter box in great user condition. Look at the photos for its outstandingcondition. It has an open front so you can fit in wide boards unobstructed andeasily handle long boards. The saw guide can take either back saws or regularpanel saws. Included is an early 1900’s Disston 14” CC back saw freshly handsharpened. It works perfectly with this miter box. The saw guide can beadjust...ed for different thickness of saws used and adjusted for perfect 90degree square cutting. I did adjust the squareness and it is dead on. The depthof saw cut can be easily adjusted when using a back saw and set so you don’tcut into the base wood. The wood on the base has been replaced. The miter boxhas the round dowel behind the back to protect the teeth. The miter box locksin at various angles between 45 & 90 degrees securely. In excellent readyto use condition. TheDisston back saw is in fine user condition with fine 13ppi pitch freshly handsharpened, and cuts smoothly leaving a fine finish to the wood for joinery. Someonein the past did modify the back 1-1/2” of the saw to look like a bigger miterbox saw – go figure? I hand sharpened the saw with a 15 degree rake and20 degree fleam angle for fast cutting and strong tooth structure. Good forquick smooth sawing of both hardwoods and softwoods – in use with this miterbox or as a small bench saw with a bench hook. It has a 3-1/2” depth of cut up to the stiff back. It is a clean straight saw with no rust or pitting. It has alight readable etch seeing the logo. The handle is solid with hardware holdingsecurely and long flowing horns. A fine saw from early quality years. IWILL TAKE PARTS OF THE MITER BOX APART TO ASSIST WITH SAFE SHIPPING. IT WILL BETHE MAIN SCREW FOR THE MOVEABLE ARM SO EASY TO REASSEMBLE.
