For sale is a gorgeous polychrome platter in the 'Cairo' pattern by W. T. Copeland & Sons of Stoke, Staffordshire, England. This pattern dates to 1882 and features an Arabesque pattern on the rim with an unfurled Japanesque scroll inset with a water lily pond and a mosque and village in an oasis. Surrounding all this are cherry blossoms and a ribbon of flowers.
This platter measures 11 x 9 inches and is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, nicks, or crazing. Ther...e seems to be a small patch of glaze wear at the 1 o'clock position.
