Antique Patina Style Bronzed Nude Devil Satyr Pan Occult SculptureMale Figure Statue
This is an original sculpture of a Male Occult Satyr Pan Figure complete with horns, Pan pipes & tail.
This interior decor object is of a Satyr & after antique C19th Classical bronze statuettes. The figure may appear at first glance to be of a metal bronze mounted on a marble like plinth.
Howev...er this nude figure - has completely contemporary & on trend Eco Art credentials, being created from re-cycled & re-purposed materials. (NB: IT IS NOT BRONZE, or METAL or CAST FROM RESIN)
By scouring car-boot sales, auctions & charity shops I take unwanted objects (which may otherwise end up in landfill), & recycle, re-purpose them.
I cut, carve & file, to re-model the formerly unwanted pre-loved object to be used as an armature into an upcycled completely different assemblage art object decor item. The statue figure is then consolidated by laborious papier-mache & decoupage layering, before traditional gypsum gesso & applications of antique style patina bronzed finish using dry brush techniques beloved of wargamers & model makers.

Other Stuff/Info LOCKDOWN:- At beginning of the UK C19 lockdown we decided to take a break from listing on eBay for a month to see how things developed. It also coincided with our gaining a new Kuriology Art Laboratory assistant – ‘Zeus’, a 6 mth old German Shepherd rescue dog, who will become my Disability Service Dog. ‘Art of Kuriology’ is isolated in a rural location, miles from any town, & parcels are popped by us into Royal Mail postal van at our village post box daily collection. We didn’t have much actual contact with other humans even before C19 lockdown! After receiving several enquiries as to when Kuriology would start to list on eBay again, we have decided to cautiously release just a few items per week, to keep things ticking over - because you missed us!
