Here's Hamilton's late-model #A case, first seen in about 1940 with the intro...duction of the 992B and 950B, with the smooth back framed by the large bullet or beaded pattern, the Deco style concentric circles around the perimeter, the thick neck, wide and wind-able original crown, distinct arching model boldly beaded bow, and all the classic railroad-ready features!! This highly collectible and fine case is in fully serviceable condition. I have restored and detailed this case right down to the threads and the crystal ledge so you get the best looking and working case possible! The back and bezel thread up easily, screw on and off smoothly, and both seat tight. The correct original crown's fluting is still well defined for a tight, sure grip, and it turns freely but, by design, does not extract, so only a lever-set (e.g., Hamilton railroad-grade) movement will work inside. The bow is also correct and original, shows no brass and no damage and pivots freely. The crystal is missing. This fine case fits all standard-featured lever-set-ONLY movements. The case does show exceedingly minimal wear, including light and faint carrying wear, zero marrings or doodlings other than one screwmark inside the back, zero brass anywhere in the townsite, and no sign of any dents, dings, dimples or depressions beyond about four little pinpricks on the back only!!
