Vtg 1910 - 1918 RARE Edwardian Photo Album Huge PHOTOS Art Nouveau Decor Candlestick Telephone Early Studebaker Horse and Buggy .......box 9: EdwardianAlbum pages are approx. 13 x 10, including the binding strip with holes. 55 photos - all are professionally done, no amateur shots! They range in size from 6.75" x 5", to 9.75" x 7.5". There are no identifying marks or any info here, the only date I have is 1913. They are all glued into the album, and may not have any info on the back. I... don;t recognize this couple, but they appear to be wealthy, and important. Could be from Indiana, or Illinois, or anywhere! This album is PERFECT for a Set Designer, or Props Manager as it is an entire catalog of this Edwardian home with all the correct period furnishings and details. Shows correct placement of furniture, period styles of furniture, and even a CAT in the Solarium!!! They were very proud of their new Studebaker, (I;m not sure of the model- maybe 1915?) and posed with it in their circular drive under the Portico in a Great Gatsby moment! Every photo is professionally done, great detail. 2 bathrooms (see the wallpaper, towels, pedestal sink), the office area (see the MANY French Doors and the CANDLESTICK TELEPHONE on the desk) and 2 older women reading and taking it easy (unknown relationship) --then the 3 bedrooms and their period furniture and the placement of the furniture, the "den" is decorated with bunting for maybe a Fourth of July party? (not in color, but part of the bunting is the American Flag) --an older couple, maybe one of their parents? Just great photos, rare to find such large, well done, detailed photos. Includes an extra RPPC postcard which is a replica of the photo of the breakfast Room, and has "June 1913- Breakfast Room" on the back in pencil. PLEASE READ THE CONDITION BELOW AND CHECK ALL THE PHOTOS BEFORE PURCHASE! .
CONDITION:The photo album covers were beyond repair, the pages were removed and are sold as pages. The first page (posed newly married couple) may have some water damage and the pages have a "stored in basement smell" if you smell them up close. All photos are glued down. 2-3 pages are blank, unknown what was removed. Some of the edges of the pages have small tears or will crumble when banged around. Photos have very little to no light or sun fading. Otherwise no damage found. Professional looking photos. Please note that there is a smudge on my camera lenses, not on the photos.
