174pp of about 200 are filled in this brilliant book, though often only written on the recto. The book is a first hand account, in French, of travelling around China in the years 1907 to 1910, there are 79 photos in the books itself, mainly stuck in but some loose, maps and the occasional watercolour. There are 17 loose photos in a packet which accompany the book. The book is a standard octavo size and the cloth covering of the spine is disintegrating. Though the binding is a little fr...agile at the spine because of this it is still holding together. The interior is generally bright and clean though some of the photos have a little browning on and around them which maybe related to the glue that was used to stick them in.
