Leica IIIc Camera with lenses and accessories, World War II vintage
This auction is for a Leica IIIc serial number 396411. This was my Dads who brought this back with him after World War II ended. Based on what I found on a Leica internet forum the serial numbers of 390001-397650 would be vintage 1943 to 1946.
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY. I AM SURE THAT THIS BODY IS NOT WORKING. THAT IS WHAT I REMEMBER THAT A SECOND BODY WAS PURCHASED SOMEWHERE IN THE 1970S.... ALSO THE SHUTTER DOES NOT SEEM TO OPERATE PROPERLY, SO AT THE VERY BEST PLEASE ASSUME THIS BODY IS FOR PARTS ONLY AND BID ACCORDINGLY.
I don't know much more about this other than I would assume the lenses are OK but again not sure and nothing has been checked and the vintage of all the items are from the same time period based on the packaging. The items in the pictures are the actual items you would be getting. I am not sure about the vintage of the case.
I took as many pictures as I thought would be needed but if you need any more information then message me and I will furnish. My only hope is that someone can use this in some fashion again.
