Arriflex 16 16mm Camera Bodies And
Item History & Price
Thank You for checking out my listing.
I have been an active and professional filmmaker in the Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana, Film Communities for over 25 years, in that time I have amassed a lot of parts, pieces, and camera bodies; and now I am trying to downsize my extensive back storage of things I do not need anymore. As a professional Filmmaker, all of my things are kept in secure, dry, cool, and non-smoking, and no pet surroundings. So ple...ase be confident in what you purchase from me as everything has been professionally handled once received by me.
In this listing, I have (2) Arriflex 16mm motion picture cameras that I once purchased as parts mules for cameras that I operated at the time. No parts where ever actually removed by me, they are as I received them.
PLEASE READ:This cameras are sold AS IS for PARTS, REPAIR, or RESTORATION. NO RETURNS.
One camera looks pretty decent with only moderate signs of use, the camera's reflex system is missing the diopter, but everything else in the reflex system appears to be ok, the mirror shutter seems to be good with no cracks or blemishes, just needs cleaning. The remaining lens elements of the reflex system appear to ok with some dust in the internal parts, probably just needs cleaning. The camera body itself is in fair shape, shows signs of use, but not abuse. It is missing the Magazine Port Cover. (It was missing when I purchased it). The Film Compartment appears fairly good with minimal signs of use, the film compartment door sticks a little when you try to remove it. Three ARRI Standard mount lens port dust covers as seen in pictures ARE INCLUDED with this sale.
The other camera body was once owned and used by the CBS news corporation and still has their inventory tag on the inside of the film compartment. This camera body shows HEAVY signs of use. The Film Compartment Door is difficult to keep attached. The Body is missing quite a bit of it's matte black coating. It is missing the Reflex Viewfinder Diopter. The Reflex mirror is cracked, but he remaining lens elements of the reflex system appear to be good, just need a good cleaning. The body is also missing the Magazine Port Cover, again, this is how it came to me. The film compartment seems to have a portion missing exposing the motor attachment collar. This body has also been modified with a three pin port on the side, I do not know what has been modified by this port and make no claims as to it's purpose.
THE TAKE AWAY:These cameras could be used to restore a camera in better shape, combined with other parts found elsewhere and a good camera made from them, but I am listing them and selling them AS-IS, FOR PARTS, REPAIR, RESTORATION, Only, so bid or purchase accordingly.
