For sale is a Kodak 3B camera that has been converted to make wet plate collodion images. The plate size used with the camera is quarter plate (3 1/4" by 4 1/4") in size. Included with the camera are 15 ferrotype plates that are handmade from thin steel and have a deep, glossy, black coat of japan twice-baked on the front and a thin coat brushed on the back. They are historically accurate to the ones used by photographers during 19th and early 20th century. I have tested the camera and... have included an example of a plate made with the camera in the image section of this listing. If you are new to wet plate photography and are looking for an inexpensive way to get started with, this is a good choice.
