E. Suter Aplanat B No. 5 Lens, 13 X 11
This lens is in excellent condition, the brass barrel is shiny, and the glass is clean except for the usual cleaning marks and odd specks of dust that are normal in a lens this old. Nothing that adversely affects image quality. (Apparent marks on the glass in the fourth and fifth photos are reflections caused by careless iPhone photography, NOT scratches!)
Use this lens for display, or for doing actual photography in l...arge format cameras. There is no autofocus (!) or even a shutter, but this lens works terrifically well with a "hat shutter." Of course, the E Suter name is legendary, and this lens is how photography was done all over Europe and America during the very early "golden age" of photography.
I am selling this lens and a lot of my other large format lenses and cameras because, quite frankly, I am getting elderly and decrepit. and am no longer able to carry and hoist my cameras around.
Please note: I do not have the Waterhouse stops for this lens.
