Up for auction is a very nice Western Electric oval base desk telephone with a type E 1 hand set.  It really looks to be in great shape with little wear at all.  The spring mechanism inside the phone that connects to the phone system works great.  Cord from the handset to the base is in looks to be in great shape and not deteriorated.  The original cloth cord to the ringer box is a little frazzled but I think it could be stripped back and reused though it might be a... little short.  If I can I'll try to give it a test run if I can find a modular plug cord and figure out the wiring.  Thanks for looking.
