THE GRAPES OF WRATH by John Steinbeck, Viking Press, April 1939 First Edition First Printing. Pulitzer prize novel of Depression era. Became a great film with Henry Fonda. Also became Broadway Play. Brown or Buff color cloth with maroon title and muscic notated endpapers. Rear ep has some age toning. Pages 458 - 477 were probibly slightly askew at bindery and have a slight dogear crease. That should be visible in the next to last photo.&nbs...p; Bright clean book. Hinges strong. Pages clean. No names of ownership. No bookplates. No scribble. Never was a Library book. DJ has publishers price cut off corner flap, and small chips at top and bottom and tiny wear at 2 folded corners. DJ stated First Edition at bottom of front flap. DJ now wrapped in clear protector.
