A very well preservedpresentation copy from Warhol to “Oliver” with the ubiquitous original ‘CampbellsTomato Soup Can’ drawing throughout. A clean, square and tightcopy in the fine original dust jacket. A little waviness to the dust jacket whereit has been packed a little tightly in the plastic protective wrapper.Andy Warhol (1928–1987)was an American artist, film director, and producer who was a leading figure inthe visual art movement known as pop art. His works explore the relationshipbetween artistic expression, advertising, and celebrity culture that flourishedby the 1960s, and span a variety of media, including painting, silkscreening, photography, film, and sculpture. Some of his best knownworks include the silkscreen paintings Campbell's Soup Cans (1962) and MarilynDiptych (1962), the experimental film Chelsea Girls (1966), and the multimediaevents known as the Exploding Plastic Inevitable (1966–67). The Philosophy of AndyWarhol (From A to B & Back Again) was First Published in the USA. Accordingto Pat Hackett's introduction to The Andy Warhol Diaries, Pat Hackett did thetranscriptions and text for the book based on daily phone conversations, sometimes (when Warhol was traveling) using audio cassettes that Andy Warholgave her.
