For sale are three rare and charming early editions of A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens. Each volume collated as complete.
The first bound in the publisher’s original wrappers, with illustrations by Bernard and Leech, after those found in the first edition of 1843. This is the first edition in this format, printed in circa 1890.The second bound in the publisher’s original red cloth, with decoration in black to the boards. This volume also contains The Chimes. This is the fi...rst edition in this format, by Routledge and Sons, 1886.The third bound in the publisher’s original olive green wrappers, with decoration in black. This being the first edition in this short-hand format, by Isaac Pitman, printed in circa 1890.Condition of each is good, and they are without restoration, throughout.Overall, these three charming little volumes will add greatly to any collection, for they are rare in their own right, and the condition is most pleasing indeed.
