Welcome to my auction - Up for your consideration is this beautiful antique and highly collectible thimble made by Ketcham & McDougall. The top part of the thimble is done in a honeycomb style pattern with a wide band featuring beautiful, deeply chased scrolling leaf and floral work with little sunbursts. The thimble is marked #9 for size and inside is marked Sterling and has the Ketcham McDougall mark as shown. The band is not marked for gold (not uncommon on these old thimbles) but is believed... to be 14k.CONDITION - The thimble is in very fine, antique, pre-owned condition!
