For your consideration, is this outstanding Bigelow Kennard & Co 1830-1922 sterling silver water picture.It also has the mark of Goodnow & Jenks 1893--1905 It is in the shape of a large melon with fluted decoration, square base, and it has a wreath with bull and sword engraved to body. This is the same figure that can be found on the outside of the" A.D. club in Cambridge Massachusetts. It is a final club established at Harvard university in 1836. The continuation of the ...chapter of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity existing as an honorary chapter until 1846 and then as a regular chapter until the late 1850s. It became a strictly secret society, known among its member as the "Haidee" the name of a college boat. Chapter surrendered its charter in 1865 and has since existed as the A.D. club". I believe this to be one of the water pictures that was used at this club. Will send information to the purchaser, that I have obtained off the Internet. This 19th century sterling silver water picture stands approximately 11 3/4 inches tall by almost 8 inches wide at its widest. It weighs an astonishing 42.67 Troy ounces.
