This is a listing for The Coronation Edition Of The Faerie Queen book. It was published by Heritage Press in 1953.The original version of this book was dedicated to Elizabeth I. This edition, published 350 years later, at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Also included, an article from that time by The Heritage Club of New York. Written by Edmund Spenser, each of the 12 chapters represents a moral virtue, written as an epic poem. The 19 beautiful wood engraved illustrations were cr...eated by Agnes Miller Parker.The condition of the inner pages is great - just a few pages in back were folded over slightly at the bottom. The outside cover has a small piece of wear on front and the bottom of the spine has some wear on the bottom, but the spine itself is holding up very well. The slip cover does have general wear and discoloration.The book measures 7 inches wide by 10 3/8 inches height.Please see the pictures for details.
