Here we offer a rare first US combined edition of both volumes of Thomas Mann's classic, The Magic Mountain, published by Alfred Knopf, New York in 1928 on Bible paper.
Covers are worn, especially at the top and bottom of scuffed spine, and the cloth at the front edge of the spine has been repaired with binder's adhesive (please see pics.) Intact, inscribed endpapers. One text page has been repaired with binde...r's tissue (see 5th pic.) The rear blank flyleaf has some lightly-penciled notes.
