This auction is for a premium quality rare 1900 era antique hunting and fighting knife with a famous sporting goods company advertising logo etched on the blade, marked: WADE & BUTCHER - SHEFFIELD ENGLAND - V.L.&A. - CHICAGO - The initials stand for Von Lengerke & Antoinne, an upscale sporting goods store, that was infamously known as the place where the machine guns were purchased and used in the Saint Valentine's Massacre and also a shopping spot for Al Capone. This famou...s original classic knife has a tight stacked leather ring handle grip with decorative spacers and a very sharp clip point Bowie encapsulated full tang carbon steel blade. This knife has some every minor sharpening marks, appears just lightly used, and is still in excellent condition overall. The leather sheath works fine with this knife and overall is in very good+ condition. Please zoom in on all pictures for details.
