1917-1928 Nice H.Disston & Sons Acme 120 Thumbhole 5 PPI Rip Saw. the plate is straight, Clean, Shinny. Some lite pitting and dark spots. nothing that will ever affect the use of this saw. i have jointed, and sharpened the teeth, no set, Sharpened it conventionally with a crown on crowned hand saw carrier bar on a machine. the crown should be back to factory Spec. the Etch , script and secondary script are readable. factory 5 PPi st...amp at the heel . 5 PPI at the heal and graduates to 6 PPI at the toe. the plate is 26" long 2"1/2 at the toe 7 " at the heel.The Handle and saw nuts are original on this saw plate. Sweet cutting Rip saw. Very Nice Apple handle with full horns. a few user marks and chips , small repair to the top horn. a very nice Handle , see Photos. The handle is Sound. Oiled and refinished the handle. a very nice example of a Acme 120 saw.
I am including a bonus saw, Free. i will pay for the extra shipping to the lower 48. the saw plate is a 1900 Era D-8 Panel 10 PPI finish saw. 22" long 2 1/2" at the toe 6" at the toe. clean, some staining very little pitting. i had to retooth this saw. freshly sharpened. it has the factory 10 PPi stamp at the heal. back in the day Disston used to offer handles that were not drilled for the hard ware. this handle is Beech and looks like it would go on a # 7 panel saw. it was drilled to fit this plate. who ever done it done a good job. it hangs well and you won't believe how nice it cuts. because of the handle i didn't think it would do well in a auction by it self. so you get two saws for the price of one
