Nice vintage Leak Stereo 20 up for auction. I have owned this amp for about 5 years. I had it recapped when I bought it. It had bad coupling caps. The original PS electrolytics are still in place (and may be good) but new 105 deg separate caps have been installed under the chassis. Ialso had a Glass Audio House GND PCB added when this was done. I’m throwing in the preamp which works well and has an excellent vintage Tung-Sol 12AY7 in it.This preamp was originally a mono pre that was ...gutted and a custom stereo cathode follower preamp built inside it. This is powered by the Stereo 20 via the original umbilical cord. The Stereo 20 has two matched current production (Russia) Mullard and two matched Tung-Sol EL 84s. The rectifier and one of the 12AX7s are current production JJs. The other two 12AX7s are vintage but unknown MFG. All the tubes are good. This preamp consists of a Glass Audio Tilt tone control, the 12AY&, an Alps Blue volume pot audio quality stereo input switch (from Dynakit Parts.com), silver plated conductors for the signal paths, and an audio quality power switch. The sound is crisp and clear with no static or other noises.
