Amplifier is in good overall condition; the faceplate is very clean with all lettering intact; there's a few small marks on volume knob and chassis consistent with age; please see pictures for condition.
The amp was serviced and restored a few years ago by a highly qualified technician. Attention was pa...id to keeping the original circuit; the power supply caps and select electrolytics were replaced to ensure reliable daily functioning. It sounds fantastic; both channels are strong, clear and balanced with that wonderful lush tube sound. The phono stage on this is absolutely superb sounding!
This comes with a "holy grail" quad of original Scott-labeled USA 7591 power tubes; and also a quad of original Telefunken 12AX7 tubes. For reference there is a quad of the same original Scott 7591 power tubes currently for sale on ebay for $395. The original rectifier tube has been replaced with a newer production Russian-made 5ar4 rectifier tube.
I've used this amp with Altec 9846 monitors, KLH Sixes, and ADS L710 speakers ...it's a stunningly good amp.
