Up for auction this week is a fully restored Pioneer CT-F1250 stereo cassette deck from circa 1981. I offer a restoration service for this model (and a few others) if you already own the deck and need yours repaired. Lets start with how I arrived at the price................let's figure 600 for the basic deck in as-is condition and needs work............add 250 for my restoration service.............add 60 for new pinch rollers...............add 300 for rack handles. Now you could take... a gamble and buy one of these decks for 600 but what if the direct drive motor was defective or the heads were bad?.................that's 600 down the drain and you now have a box of old parts. The condition of this deck is very fine near mint with some small superficial marks on top of the metal cover...............very minor. There's no marks or flaws on the faceplate and the push buttons are nice and shiny with no oxidation marks. The rack handles are likewise in near mint condition. Inside the unit I've replaced the pinch rollers (of course) and nearly 175 electrolytic capacitors with brands like Panasonic FC/FM and Elna Silmic.................no generic junk brands. All of the belts are new and the reel motor has been dis-assembled and cleaned/lubed. All of the alignments have been performed and you can easily use the front panel controls to set the bias/level. and EQ................I'll include an instruction sheet for this daunting task. Me...............I just leave them in the center position and have excellent results every time with good tapes like Maxell UDXL II. Also included is a spiral bound reproduction of the product brochures, owner's manual, and service guide. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence. I ship the same day or next and pack well for transit. This auction is good for the continental U.S and I only ship Fed-Ex so no PO boxes please...............I need a physical address. No returns please..............this is a heavy item in excellent condition and I'm 99% sure it will arrive back to me broken so I'm including an adjustment sheet so you can perform small tweaks at your location............all you need is a little screwdriver.
