Antique Victorian period circa 1880 superbly worked tapestry Sample depicting the Legend "Abide With Me" in a medieval type font, fashioned with multi coloured silk embroidery on a linen matt, the sampler is mounted and matted in original wooden frame with a painted gesso front bezel, the gesso has some small damage in areas and the sampler would benefit from being re-set in its frame as the back board is held in place with tape, saying that it can be hung 'as is' on a wall via way of ...provisional stringing, the frame measures 63 cm in width and 30 cm in breadth, .the sampler can be removed from the frame and sent separately if required for easy transportation in the post if required.weight : 2.1 kilos
