DIGITAL DEC PDP-8/e FRONT PANEL
1970-72 ~ Never Used ~ Like NEW!DIGITAL DEC PDP-8/e FRONT PANEL. Here's a like NEW front panel for a Digital Equipment Corp (DEC) PDP-8/e computer. The silk screen markings are absolutely perfect, no scratches, no chips, no smudges. The panel might possibly have been mounted on a computer, but not for long. The back has a few minor surface scratches and the lower right corner is hand-marked, "74-8244." I don't think that means 1974 as the panel is the... early version (1970-72) with the STATE and BUS selections 180 degrees apart (they were 140 degrees apart on later front panels because the rotary switch was updated to one supposedly more reliable). Dimensions are 18½" wide x 8¼" high and it's made of heavy black phenolic plastic. I got this when I worked at DEC as Manager of Educational Marketing from 1970 to 1974 and it's been in my closet ever since (47 years).
