VERY RARE!!!!! Antique Vintage "K-M" COPPER & BRASS FIRE EXTINGUISHER" EMPTY - for your consideration, this is an Antique Copper and Brass Fire Extinguisher manufactured by the "K-M Supply Company" which was the signature line of fire extinguisher for this famous company, out of Kansas City, Missouri, U.S.A. The copper and brass literally shine like a mirror and are in very good condition. DO NOT MISS OUT, THIS IS A BEAUTY!!!!
This will make for a... unique and perfect gift for any collector or fire fighter. This beauty is very old as it is a copper & brass extinguisher with copper rivets along the back. TRULY RARE and ONE OF A KIND with the high gloss red and black enamel paint restored!!! As the pictures so, this one has been polished so that the copper and brass shine, but some of the copper has been hazed because the internal contents of the extinguisher made contact with the metal. Because these are soda-acid extinguishers, its causes hazing and a clouding of the metal when the active ingredients make contact with the metal. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS BEAUTY!!!!! The original extinguisher hose is still with this antique and I have polished the brass connections to a mirror finish. Please, please, please look at the photographs as they tell the true story of the condition of this antique.
The pictures tell the true story of this beautiful antique piece of fire fighting history. This is a RARE extinguisher as it has a beautiful copper shell body with the original brass embossed plates. The original high gloss red and black enamel paint for the brass embossed plates has also been restored as well. I have restored the original paint on the cap and the front brass plates with high gloss black and red enamel paint. Everything on this piece just shines and tells a fantastic story of fire fighting history. The Underwriter's Laboratories Serial Number is 678237 and dates this antique to between 1910-1914.
Please, please, please look at all the photographs. I have shined this antique as well as possible but this was a tool to fight fires and condition of the copper shows it has been used to fight fires. There are a few hardly noticeable blemishes, but this is not mint, and the copper body and brass embossed plates shine. The cap on this antique does not come off this extinguisher. I have tried repeatedly to remove it. I used all of my tricks and ideas but could not remove it without causing damage. The cap currently does not come off. This is an actual piece of fire fighting history and it does have some signs of use as a true tool of fire fighting history would. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS BEAUTY!!!!
This will be a great centerpiece or conversation piece. DO NOT MISS OUT!!!!!!! This antique has the copper rivets along the back, and they are shined. The construction and serial number of this beautiful antique dates this extinguisher to the early 1900's. This piece of history has copper rivets along the backside, and gives it a wonderful antique and rustic look.
The copper body and the rivets along the back are all present, in great condition, and clearly shown in the photographs. I have polished the brass connectors to a mirror finish as well. The extinguisher measures 24" tall with an 8 and 1/4" diameter. The copper body had been shined and the true condition is shown in all of the photographs. There are minor blemishes to this real piece of fire fighting history. Any blemishes are seen in the photographs, as this was a piece of fire fighting history and not a repop piece, so please keep that in mind. Given this antique's age, the condition of this beauty is remarkable. Also, this antique has its original hose and the brass connectors have been polished. Please remember, while the copper and brass metal shine after my polishing efforts, some of the copper has a hazy look because the internal contents of the soda-acid extinguisher made contact with the metal at some point and this cause some corrosion of metals. Overall, this is a truly beautiful piece.

The extinguisher is EMPTY and the internal ingredients and contents have been removed. That being said, as is depicted in the photographs, the cap does not unscrew from the antique, it is stuck on and I was unable to remove it. Please, please, please, look at all the photographs, they tell the true story of this beautiful antique and the copper body has been polished and the original enamel paint has been restored to this wonderful antique!!!!
The bronze cap, with the attachment has been restored with the original high gloss red enamel paint and is excellent condition as well. Please do not expect that this antique is in perfect condition and was a piece of fire fighting equipment. It will naturally have some signs of wear and tear that comes with age. This is not a REPOP PIECE and is an authentic piece of fire fighting history. LOOK AT THE PICTURES, AS THEY TELL THE TRUE STORY AS TO THE CONDITION OF THIS ANTIQUE.
