THIS IS WHAT YOU'RE BUYING: A rare one for you, here's a Nichols Portrait Flash Lamp, a big magnesium powder flash device designed specifically for more natural and flattering studio illumination, manufactured by Charles H. Nichols of St. Louis from around 1900-1910. It's heavily worn from a couple decades of use, but still complete and intact, and frankly in no worse condition than the only other two examples I've seen in my 40+ years of collecting. (A third sold at auction a whi...le back that had been restored to such ridiculously unreasonable perfection, it unfortunately fooled a lot of bidders who should have known better.) A very valuable and coveted artifact for savvy collectors of scarce American photographica. Buy-it-now for only $129, and shipping is absolutely free within the United States! I'll be offering many more interesting photographic bits in the coming weeks, including several more scarce and unusual photo flash devices, so please click on the link HERE to see all my current eBay listings. Okay, now take a look at this rare antique photography accessory, but don't forget to read the payment and shipping information after the pics:
WHEN THE SALE ENDS: The buyer will immediately receive an invoice through eBay's automated e-mail notification system, but if you're considering more of my items, you might want to wait to pay until you receive my personalized bundled invoice after all your purchases are chosen. The buyer must prepay in US dollars by Paypal or some other more traditional method, and shipping is free within the USA. Worldwide buyers should use eBay's shipping calculator to determine the cost of USPS First Class Mail International to their location for this 2 pound 12 ounce parcel. Now please remember, this is a true antique photo accessory, over 110 years old, not a minty new item fresh from the factory, so there's a chance it could have additional little age related aches or pains I didn't notice, but it's still guaranteed to be as described, and if for some honest and understandable reason you're not satisfied, simply e-mail me first to verify instructions and then return the item for a full refund, in compliance with eBay's guidelines, within fourteen (14) days after you receive it. Thanks for looking, and never forget, antique wood and brass and red bellows cameras and brass lenses rock!
