Vintage Late 1950's Smith Corona 5TE Electric Typewriter with Case RARE FIND!
Wow - talk about a RARE find! This is a Smith Corona Electric 5TE portable typewriter and is believed to be one of the first portable electric typewriters. The body style is similar to other Smith Corona portables of the era, but this one has the unique feature of being electric powered. These are fairly uncommon and interesting typewriters. This is an excellent choice someone who is a collector or has mem...ories of the smell of this vintage machine!
Condition: Mechanically speaking, this typewriter works as is, but could probably use a good cleaning and a new ribbon. When powered on, it hums consistently with a ticking noise and appears to function as intended. Being sold AS-IS, no guarantees.
