GOOD SIZED ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU DECORATED SILVER PLATED CARD CASE c1910 GOOD SIZED ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU DECORATED SILVER PLATED CARD CASE c1910 Here we have a super looking and good sized slim silver plated card case, decorated in an Art Nouveau style with a period monogram in the cartouche front centre as pictured. It is believed to date from sometime circa the 1910's.When it was found there were a ...number of old calling cards inside and these are also included (see photos)I have cut a piece of paper to check and it will accept business or calling cards sized up to approximately 3.5" by 2.25", so it will be suitable for carrying most modern sized business cards..Measuring approximately 7cm wide by 10cm tall and 9mm deep when closed, the case weighs approximately 79.7 grams. The hinge is in working order and the lid closes tightly, it will not fall open accidentally. The case has some typical light, faint age related scuffs and surface scratches. Other than that there are a few small spots of stubborn tarnish plus little bit of plate wear on the cartouche. There is nothing really nasty or serious to report as you can see, no nasty dents or dings anywhere as far as I can tell and there are no holes or splits anywhere.A good polish will further enhance former gloryThis very attractive and practical little silver plated case is being offered here in a used antique condition, exactly as pictured and with no reserve.
