Antique/Vintage Royal Model 10 Typewriter w/ Beveled Glass Sides VG
overall very good condition for age
this is an estate find and I really don't know much about old typewritersbut the knobs I tried seem to work
the tab works and the lever by the roller that makes the bar advance and the bell ring at the endmost of the keys work but some get stuck at the top
it shows a little grunge and wear but no major rust only minor spots (see photos)
it comes with a ribbon installed... that types very, very faintly and there is another ribbon spool (one half of a set)
the keys look pretty good but the tab and shift/shift lock key tops are clouded. the top of the H is liftingthe rest seem okay for what my opinion is worth
feet show wear
glass needs cleaning and polishing but not completely blocked or cloudedI think with a little TLC this could easily become a functioning typewriter again
**Note just moving it to weigh I bumped a bar on the bottom that stopped the keys so I had to Google the issue to reset it -- things like this may happen in shipping so due to age and weight (this thing weighs over 30 pounds) this is an as is item with no returnsI have described it to the best of my ability so please look closely at the photos and decide for yourself and ask questions before buying
The weight and size of the box needed for shipping will make the shipping rates high (sorry California) and sometimes the eBay shipping estimator can be WAY off (even against me too) but I promise that if the actual shipping cost is off my more than a dollar or so I will refund the difference.
