I picked up this knife a few years ago. Was told it was a civil war era knife. From the looks and pitina I have no reason to doubt him. For me to tell you that it for certain is civil war would be wrong. It for certain hasn't been done to give it an old look. There is no name on the blade. The handle definitely has an old look from style and age cracks, it is not broken just check cracks. Overall this knife is tight.
Knife makes a great display piece for civil war or cowboy or even ...mountain man displays.
Price not bad when you consider a new knife could cost that or more and here you are getting a little bit of history.
