Unfortunately with some clocks it is not a matter of unpacking them, putting the pendulum on and away they go, some clocks will need the extra adjustments and setting into beat so please remember this before bidding. Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case. Any clocks returned because of setting up issues or adjustments needed after transit then a fee will be applicable. For your piece of mind we test all our clocks here before they are sent out and any issues are either sorted or described in the add, the clock will not have any problems as they are tested vigorously before sending. Please read my full terms and conditions by clicking on the returns tab above. Good luck and happy bidding PLEASE NOTE: I have just received some excellent quality bracket clocks from a private collection all of which have been well looked after all of which will be listed over the next few weeks. Some excellent quality bracket clocks please keep your eyes open over the next few months THE CASE
This is an exceptional rare antique English single fusee regulator tavern wall clock with all the features you would like to see. The clock is a beautiful small proportioned tavern wall clock with some amazing fine chinoiserie decoration of the highest quality This case has been fully restored and overhauled at some point but has been done by a real specialist as the quality is stunning, the case is surrounded with some absolutely beautiful hand decorated chinoiserie designs which have a stunning gilded gold colouring and are all in excellent condition

The case has a typical tavern clock design with a large head top to the case with the drop trunk which has a hinged door. The case has arched top door to the front which is in excellent undamaged condition and has its original turn latch to hold it shut, at the top of the case it has a pair of matching carved wooden finials with a gilded finish
The case has a beautiful patina and colour to it which looks absolutely stunning as i am sure you would agree from the pics but looks 100 times more impressive in the flesh and the quality is absolutely second to none  THE DIAL The clock benefits from its 9 inch diameter wooden dial with brass counter balanced hands. The dial is signed by the maker M Curtis of North Bradley, the dial has hand gilded roman numerals and matching hand painted chinoiserie decorations, the tavern clock case is in excellent condition and has obviously had a full restoration and overhaul at some point

THE MOVEMENT The clock benefits from its original super high quality rare brass 8 day duration single chain driven fusee regulator movement with a dead beat escapement and slim A frame plates with a nice shaped tapered lead pendulum
The movement is in excellent working order and keeps extremely good time as expected from a regulator movement. The movement is in full working order which can be seen from the video above with a beautiful tick to the pendulum which is like music to the ears and absolutely stunning to listen to like the heart beat of the house. The pendulum is tricky to get on as there is not much room to get your hands in etc. I removed the movement and hung the pendulum on then reinstalled the movement

The mechanism comes with a 6 months return to base warranty for extra piece of mind. Please see the terms and conditions
MEASUREMENTS The clock measures 25 inches high x 12.5 inches wide (at widest) x 5 inches deep (at deepest)  The dial measures 9 inches Diameter and looks super impressive wherever it is displayed APPROX DATE Circa 1850
