Rare Antique L. Leroy & Cie French Gilt Brass Blue Glass Striking Carriage Clock. As is condition. A French gilt brass striking carriage clock 
L. Leroy & Cie., No.35244 circa 1890 
Dual signed L. Leroy & Cie. 7. Bd. de la Madeleine, Paris. Deco-style Arabic chapters w Breguet style hands, the typical carriage clock style movement with going barrels and platform lever escapement, strike on gong on the backplate with repeat signature and alarm set disc, the backplate and case number...ed 35244 original leather and velvet lined travelling case w key. NO BUY IT NOW, I always let auctions run the courseI’ll put a short video on my Instagram gitter_cyn page that you can hear how wonderful the tone of the chime. It was serviced in 1977 according to the sticker and lovingly tucked away. I would assure that it needs adjustment and servicing. I’m not an expect only a generalist so I did not try to wind or do things w the keys that I’m unsure of I’ll leave that to the experts. Note: in the past people have asked me to open and do things to fountain pens and watches and I wish I hadn’t so please be careful of what you ask:)Condition is as is and Condition is as shown in the many photos, view and angles in this listing. Please refer to the photos for further visual condition and description. Blue glass cracked on one side (shown), wear to gold numbers and part of address have worn off, needs servicing.
