RARE MIROIR MUSIC BOX BY REUGE MADE IN SWITZERLAND DANCERS 1870 DANSEURS. Condition is used
Absolutely beautiful music box! The box has two tunes as listed on the bottom label. When the first tune stops the dancers go back down and into place. Then you press the button behind the winding key the next tune starts the dancers rise and begin dancing again. The couple on the right seems to twirl more completely than the couple on the left. I don’t know if this is due to the way it si...tting or gravity or maybe their mechanism is a little stickier. I am not a music box engineer- but the music plays perfectly and the couple on the right spin beautifully and the left moves back-and-forth but not complete turns.There are a few cosmetic issues on the actual case please look at pictures. I wish I could date this but I have no idea when this was produced only the information on the label.
The front has a plaque that says “danseurs 1870”. This is an absolute joy to own! I have a video of it working and switching tunes if you like me to email it please send me a message! As far as shipping goes I would not know how to Open the box to pack around the actual dancers, but I’ll pack it to the best of my ability and place it in a box within another box and ship it FedEx fragile. If you’re located around Memphis, Tennessee (up to 2 hours away) I am not opposed to a local pickup to ensure the safety of the item.
