Up for your consideration is this Vintage RARE 1956 Danelectro 6 string bass with original case. It was listed in the Vintage Guitar Price book by Alan Greenwood and Gil Hembree was listed for only the 57 & 58 years in there book which I corrected them since my serial number according to Doug Tulloch #4086 which was a 1956 model making it the 1st year made. I sent the serial number on to them and this was their replay quote: "That error is ours. According to Doug's Dano book,... the UB-2 6-string bass was available for 1956-1958. I will make that correction in our database. Thanks for pointing that out." This guitar I purchase about 20 years ago from the original owner who purchased it knew. It has normal play wear for 64 years and sounds great. I used on a friends album a number of times and on some of my tracks in my little studio. I am pushing 70 and starting too part with some items I have in my collection. It has normal fret wear and neck wear for its age. The pink you see was on the knobs when I purchased it and didn't want to change anything on the guitar. The case is still nice and tight and two of the three locks are working fine, but the back body lock is broke. The handle and hinges are nice and the case edges are still nice. I am listing at a rather reasonable starting price for a first year made 6 string bass. It will be de-tuned and wrapped in bubble wrap for safety.
