Rare Chelsea Ship Clock Vietnam War U.S. Government Air Force features a beautiful black phenolic resin case with a hinged bezel in great condition. The case pairs well with its classic black dial accompanied by creamy hands, arabic numerals, and markers. Silver tone seconds hand. This beautiful clock is signed Chelsea Clock Co. Boston underneath the 24 hour marker, U.S. Government Ser. No. underneath the hands. Its large dial is a rare 8.50...-inch diameter. This clock is mechanical one spring key wind. Original signed Chelsea key is included with this clock. This clock was made in September 1957 for the U.S. Air Force. Looking on the back of the clock it has a brass plaque marked: "Clock, Wall, Mechanical, 8 1/2" Dial, Air Force Stock No 8TAA-221000, Chelsea Clock Company, Chelsea Massachusetts, MFG Sept 1957, CCC-PART No. 20570, Contract No. N383-42457A, Inspected____, U.S.". This clock measures 10-inches from screw in lock to hinge, clock face diameter 8.50-inches, and is 3-inches thick. This clock has been verified by a master clock maker.
