Up for auction is this Antique Georgian English Round Crank Reel Sterling Silver Wind-Up Sewing Tape Measure. There are no visible stamps or maker's marks. This item was made before English silversmiths were required by law to hallmark small items of silver. It is in okay condition, the tab has been replaced/repaired, there is a small silver repair on the right hand side of the hole, some discoloration on the tip of the tape, light marks, scratches, soiling, stains, tarnish & wear. Th...e wind-up mechanism is in good working order, the tape retracts well. It measures 1 & 1/8" in length & 7/8" in width.
