A very fine "Victor the Fifth", one of Victor's best outside horn phonographs, costing $67.50 when new in 1907, about half a year's wages for the ave...rage workingman.
The solid oak cabinet measures 16.5" x 16.5", with corner pillars and overall "Mission" styling.
Victor's finest motor, a large 3-spring type that drives a 12" turntable, is nickel plated and will play many records between windings. The tapered tone arm is fitted with an Exhibition reproducer.
The motor has been professionally cleaned and serviced, and the reproducer rebuilt. The Victor spear-point horn, is without damages, repairs, splits, etc.
