Here's an nice 1921-22 RCA Westinghouse RA/DA receiver, sold in a single cabinet as the RC. The radio's RA tuner and DA detector amplifier were pioneering components -- the 1st tuner and DA designed explicitly to receive commercial broadcasts when KDKA was launched in late 1920. Until that time, all receiving equipment had been designed for amateur and/or point-to-point use only. The radio is original and exceptionally nice throughout, with clean wiring and original early Westinghou...se open frame AF transformers [one good and one with an open winding]. Brushed bakelite panels are nearly perfect, with no scratches or other damage. Panel tags are clean. Dials and knobs all turn easily, and the rheostats work. All of the hardware is original, and all of the nickel-plated binding post nuts are present, as are all of the nickel-plated connecting rods. The rubber tube deck struts have hardened over time (this is the norm, as you know if you're familiar with this radio), but are still intact and the deck still sits snugly on the chassis. Cabinet finish may be original [finish is a little light but looks original] with some very minor marks on all sides consistent with its age and authenticity, but nothing untoward or distracting. A very nice example ... Comes with the tree tubes shown [display duds]. The set measures approx 13.5" X 9.5" X 10" deep and very well packed shipping weight will be 18.5 pounds from zip code 24012.
