For many years we have collected vintage Radios and various other collectibles, it is now time to pass them along to new owners who will hopefully love and treasure them as we have.

Today we offer a GORGEOUS LOOKING 1948, PHILCO MODEL 48-200 "TRANSITONE", 5 TUBE, BC TABLE RADIO.
... As seen in the photos, this radio is in absolutely beautiful original cosmetic condition. The dark brown bakelite case is free of any scratches or scuffs or cracks. The dial and dial face are near perfect. The two knobs are original. It retains its original antenna and labels. A new AC line cord was added by its original owner, who recapped the chassis. The owner's family told us that when he reinstalled the chassis, he didn't connect the radio's internal antenna correctly. The radio powers up, the dial light illuminates , but no station is heard until you connect an external antenna wire - then you get a station, although its garbled. We are not experts, so we'll leave the correct antenna hookup, to its new owner. The tube layout is; 7A8, 14A7, 14B6, 50L6GT, and 35Y4.
Dimensions are; 10"L x 6"H x 6"D and it weighs 7 lbs. unboxed
This radio would look terrific and work great in any room of your home or office....
