Here's a rare early Rosenbaum's Bitters from San Francisco...unfortunately, it has a large crack running up the back corner, but the bottle displays great from the front embossed sides....ROSENBAUM'S BITTERS / N.B.JACOBS & CO / SAN FRANCISCO (boldly emb on 3 sides).....Hand blown in mold, bimal....smooth base with dot in middle.....applied tapered collar.....square....beautiful golden amber with hint of olive....9 1/2"tall....crack on back beveled corner runs 6"up the corner bevel ...+ curves 2"onto back shoulder above the unembossed back panel; a small shallow chip halfway up the crack; no other damage. A dug bottle with some light haze. Displays real nice from the embossed front sides. If you collect Western Bitters you dont need me to tell you how scarce this bottle is and what it would be worth if it wasnt cracked....a dug one with a chip sold this year for over $3400...
