A nice example of an FW Pratt transfer printed polychrome pot lid in an unusual rectangular form with lobed ends. The image is titled at base Wouvermann Finx - possibly the original artist from which the design is attributable?A matching base conforms to this shape and it's to terrific to have- to finish the pot! A break across the lid is neatly repaired, and note the base does carry some crazing and what appears to be a repaired section along the rim, probably a dug item from a Victo...rian era rubbish tip!All told this Pratt ware lid remains a very presentable example- particularly with the base present, and despite the repairs presents very nicely as shown, and will fill out a gap in a collection until a better example can be afforded or found!The pot lid measures 14 cm wide 5 1/2 inches and with its base, stands 5.5 cm or just over 2 inches tall.
