~ Mechanism in excellent condition; platen refreshed and grippy, sturdy feed rollers, all metal interior; very well-made machine
~ All functions tested and fully working including: Basket shift, Tabulator, Bell
The keyboard is attractively spaced, with moderate pressure required and nice, crisp key response; very smooth with modest, unintrusive bell tone.
Platen is in very good condition; cute little chicken-wing return carriage arm, and signature Olivetti red tab key.
Body and keys made of molded plastic, interior mechanism is all-steel.
The Underwood 319 weighs in at 11.6 lbs in its case.
