A beautiful 18th century soft paste low bowl or dish. Very high quality, but I am unable to attribute a maker. The mark on back of bowl is a "fleur de lis" mark and is listed in my books as a Real Fabbrica Capodimonte circa 1755, others also used this mark, my educated guess is that this is Old Paris porcelain circa 1780-1800.
It has the solid feel a...nd heftiness of that type of porcelain. Plate is composed of soft-paste porcelain, it has a moulded Ozier relief around rim and is hand painted in enamels with floral bouquets, the rim is gilded. Condition is excellent, no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Bowl measures 8-1/4" inches in diameter and is approximately 1.5" inches deep. It is quite heavy for its size. A very nice piece for the collector and for display and or use.
