For our consideration is the antique, 1887, COMPLETE GAME OF AUTHORS - EASTLAKE EDITION. It was published by the renowned firm of McLOUGHLIN BROTHERS of New York City. I have been unable to determine what makes this the "Eastlake Edition" and, in fact, cannot find the name Eastlake used to describe other McLoughlin games.

CONDITION: The game is complete with 48 cards (12 sets of 4) but PLEASE NOTE: one card (2A-J. Fennimore Cooper) is a replacement (photocopy pasted on a card from another game). The cards are rubbed and soiled; some have creases. There are no instructions. The chromolithographed cover retains its bright colors of of gold, yellow, blue and pink; it is lightly soiled and rubbed (particularly at the edges). The box cover is glued at one corner; the aprons were, at one time, taped and some remnants of it remain.
